Day 3 was our big trip up to Disneyland. It started out a little rocky. We got up bright and early and left San Diego at 6 am so that we could be at Disney right when it opened at 8. We got on the road and our 3g on our phones wasn't working which meant that our GPS on the phone wasn't working either. Needless to say, we didn't even think to print a map. So we drive and drive and try to follow the signs as best as we could. At about 9 am we still hadn't seen any signs for Anaheim so Big Al stopped and asked for directions. Turns out we were 50 miles past Disneyland and had to turn around and go back! Oh well, we got there eventually!
One of our most special experiences at Disneyland was being chosen to go up top on the big steam engine boat and "drive". Caden and Cole got to blow the whistle and steer.

Meeting Mickey! We stood in line forever to meet the mouse. Caden and Cole were so excited! And then when we finally go there, they were so shy, I had to drag them up to get their picture taken.

We had a good time at Disneyland, although we were supposed to spend two days, but by the end of the first day, the boys were done and didn't want to go back. If I do Disney again, I would make sure that we didn't go in the summer (the crowds were terrible) and that all of my children are taller than 40 inches. Cole is like 39 1/2 and they still wouldn't let him go on a bunch of rides which stunk for him.
The 4th day we headed back to the beach! The boys made sand castles and collected shells.
And played in the waves some more! The ocean was really the best part of the trip. For our trip next year we are thinking Bahamas or the Caribbean and just spend the week on the beach.
By the 5th day our boys looked like this.
And they were so ready to get on the plane and head back to Utah. After all, there is no place like home!

That looks like such a fun trip!!! Whenever you go back to Disneyworld - do it at the end of September or in February. That's the lowest crowds! And you look awesome by the way!
