Where did July go?

July has flown by so fast! Nesting has hit hard at this house. I have been busy getting the baby's room ready, cleaning, organizing, decorating, and I even conned Alan into washing all of our windows! What a great guy! We enjoyed the parade and fireworks here in Clinton, went camping up in Farmington Canyon (the ride up the mountain was like the scariest rollercoaster I have ever been on!), and took a trip to Idaho to see Uncle Clayton (who we hadn't seen in a year, can you believe it?) and Great Grandpa Parkinson.

We have been eating yummy peas out of our garden. Well, everyone but Caden. He will pretend to eat one and then secretly hide the rest of the pod. Who knows if that kid will ever like anything other than junk?? We have also been enjoying lots of cucumbers, peppers, zucchini, and the corn will be ready soon!

We took the boys for a ride on the UTA Frontrunner commuter train (Caden and Cole call it the Jet Train). It was pretty fun, but I think we all got a little train sick. This thing goes fast, and it was a little weird to be zooming past all the cars on the freeway. We got off in Salt Lake, walked to the Gateway mall, had lunch, and then zoomed back home on the train again. Even with the sickies, it was worth not driving in traffic to SLC!

The boys and their Uncle Clayton! It was great to catch up!
